Border City Barkers Members

The Border City Barkers Agilty Club does a number of demonstrations each year. The Stars of the shows are of course the canine members of the club. For more information on each dog, simply move the cursor over their picture.

Blue found his own forever home walking in the open door where he was rescued by my sister’s family. Blue was named by Josh for his vivid blue eyes. Blue loves going on outings with his uncle Dave, especially when he gets to do Agility, and therapy work as a member of the St John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

.Initially deemed too high energy to be adopted out by a Michigan shelter, Monte was rescued by a foster and then came to his forever home. With a year of training, Monte has become a fun-loving Agility Dog and is now a certified St John Ambulance Therapy Dog. Go Monte GO!

Begin Agility: Aggie started doing some of the equipment when she was 6 months.
Aggie is an energetic, happy dog who loves people, loves agility and loves to go for long walks. Her long coat requires a lot of attention yet she always looks like an 'unmade bed'!

Age: Shylo was born in approximately 2008. Her exact birthdate is unknown.
Begin agility: Shylo began agility in Nov.2010
Shylo was was given her name because she was extremely shy and was not able to let people touch her and was afraid of most objects and people. Agility has helped her gain confidence. Shylo was recently certified as a therapy dog with St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy program and is now visiting Banwell Nursing Home.

Sam was a rescue dog from the Windsor Humane Society; Barb and her husband Lee adopted Sam in the Fall of 2009 when she was about 10 months old. In 2015 they adopted Gracie who is now a Border City Barker too!

Widget might not be the most energetic, but what he lacks in speed he makes up for with attitude. He is a smart, sweet, stubborn dog who loves socializing and rolling in the dirt. Just don't expect him to fetch a ball. When he is not jumping bars or tackling tunnels he works as a St. John's Ambulance therapy dog.

Piper is a beautiful, spirited, happy little dog. If you see her at a show, be sure to check out her long eyelashes. She loves running the agility course, sometimes making up her own route. She is looking forward to visiting at a retirement home with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program.

Winston is a male Golden Retriever, who is soft hearted and very kind and gentle. His personality makes him an ideal therapy dog, he is currently with the St John ambulance therapy Dog. Winston also loves visiting with the senior citizens every week. While his small and slender build makes him perfect for weaving in and out of the weave polls, which is one of his favourite part of the agility course. Winston is fairly new to agility but really enjoys it. .

Rogue is a very active dog who could chase a ball for hours and can almost always be found with a ball in her mouth! She is very unique looking with her merle coat and different colour eyes.

Is it a Corgi? Shepherd? Husky? Nope, it's just Finn - the Swedish Vallhund! Although most people can't guess his breed, almost everyone agrees he is very cute. Finn is a typical high energy Vallhund who loves doing agility. He is always ready for his next adventure and his next meal.
